Sir C.V Raman

Being Sir C.V RAMAN’S birthday I thought why not write a short note about him.

He was an Indian physicist whose works were a benchmark in the Indian Science Field.

He was the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1930 for the discovery that when light traverses a transparent material, some of the deflected light changes in wavelength. This phenomenon is now called Raman scattering and is the result of the Raman effect.

India celebrates NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY on 28 February of every year to commemorate the discovery of the Raman effect in 1928.

He is one of the personalities who made his country proud.

I hope to see many more Sir C.V. RAMANs in the future who make the country and their parents proud!!
